Is it a car? Or is it a plane? It is both: a convertible creation that travels on land and in thei air. A plane that can proceed to its destination when grounded and a car that can fly when traffic-bound, the Aerocar is a new convertible machine invented by ex-navy Pilot Moulton B. Taylor of Longview, Wash. Other trial flying cars have always had to leave their wings and tails at the airport, but Aerocar hauls the, right down the highway. Piloted by Mrs. Taylor, the inventors wife, Aerocar takes off at 50 mph, has enough fuel for 300 miles.
