Enter Hoffa-the Candidate: Tough, cocky James Hoffa, number two man in the Teamsters union, last week made it official that he was an all-out candidate to succeed Dave Beck as number one. Acquitted only a week earlier of charges of trying to bribe a Senate investigator, he invited Teamster officials to Chicago to “meet Mr. Hoffa.” John O’Brien, has hinted that he will withdraw to support Hoffa (behind him).
